Content - 1. Something that is to be expressed through some medium, as speech, writing, or any various arts. 2. Significance, profundity; meaning

Context - 1. The parts of a written or spoken statement that precede or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect 2. The set of circumstances or facts that surround a particular event, situation, etc...

Rhetorical Reading: An active attempt at constructing a rhetorical context for the text as a way of making sense of it (Haas & Flowers 167-168).

Modicum - A moderate, or small amount


Idiosyncrasy - A characteristic, habit, mannerism, or the like, that is peculiar to an individual
